President's Day at the Aquarium

For President's Day we had decided that Jared would take the day off work and we would go on a fun outing with the kids. We had originally thought that we would use our saved money from our coin jar and go to Disneyland, but it was going to be raining all day. So we did a little investigation and found a mostly indoor aquarium in Long Beach. We had never been there before and decided to take a little adventure. Because it was a holiday and it was a rainy day, it was a little more crowded than I would have liked, but there were some really cool things to look at and the only one that seemed to be bothered by the crowds was Ryan. He was upset that we didn't just let him run wild. We tried using a harness thing that is almost like a dog lease to let him have a little freedom, but would get mad when he realized that he couldn't just keep running. There were a number of adults that would see him wearing this and give us a dirty look like, "What cruel parents!" But until they experience a runaway child and the stress and panic of losing a child they will never understand. Oh, the joys!

What cute kids and pictures... I sympathize, I nearly bought two harnesses when my girls were two! People just don't realize how fast little ones move!
Good to see your family, hope your all feeling well!
