The Polar Express

In front of our Polar Express train
In our seats with Santa's elves that served us
Santa asking Dallin and Julia what they want for Christmas
Mrs. Claus handing out the first gift of Christmas - a bell from Santa's sleigh
The boys with the Polar Express chef
The freaky bum from the top of the train

This train ride was truly magical for the kids. We drove for about 45 minutes to get to El Campo where they use a train to reenact a small version of The Polar Express. They did a great job. We were first greeted by the train conductor and then by some very friendly elves named Dimples, Gumdrop and Gingersnap. The train was decorated with garland, ornaments and lights. We soon left the station and drove on the train for about 40 minutes. While we were on our way, we were served hot chocolate and huge chocolate chip cookies. The elves red the story The Polar Express and led everyone in our train car in some Christmas carols. We arrived at the North Pole where the kids could look out the window and see a small village where Santa, Mrs. Claus and his elves were waiving at them. Santa boarded the train for the ride back and the kids were able to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas. Mrs. Claus then handed the kids a small silver bell from Santa's sleigh. We also met the chef and the bum that boarded the train too! The kids were in awe and it was definitely a memorable experience.
