Halloween 2008

This year for Halloween our kids dressed in a theme. Julia really like the idea that their costumes would go together, so when Dallin fell in love with the red dragon costume at Old Navy we quickly had to come up with something to work with it. Luckily my quick mother instincts kicked in and I suggested that she be Mulan and Dallin could be Mushu (the little red dragon from the Disney movie). Julia had originally wanted all of us to be the Incredibles since our family dynamics fit it perfectly but there was no talking Dallin out of the red dragon costume. Julia is always a good sport and agreed to the change in plan. My friend Katherine even had a little boy Chinese outfit for Ryan.

Our evening started at friends house (the Shupe's) where we were served delicious Taco soup. Their neighborhood is a very family friendly neighborhood filled with lots of kids, so we went Trick-or-Treating with them. After that, we headed to our house with a couple more friends to have a little party for the kids where we played some fun games, ate Frankenstein pudding cups, sugar cookies and witches brew and watched the good ol' Ichabod Crane Disney movie. I think the kids had a blast and made some great memories.

Oh my gosh they look so cute. What a great idea. We weren't so creative this year. Aston knew he wanted to be Spiderman since his Spiderman Birthday party in MAY. There was no changing his mind. Although, we had to do Superman to the Ward party because Spiderman lost his mask. But luckily, we got before Halloween night.
