We've had Disneyland passes for most of this year and we wanted to make it back at during Christmastime because it might be sometime before we will be able to get passes again. Jared's grandpa gave us some money for Christmas at Thanksgiving and we decided to spend that money on a hotel in Anaheim. We surprised the kids and we didn't tell them where we were going until we were in the car driving. Even though we have been to Disneyland a number of times this year, they acted like we hadn't been in years. We got to the hotel in the evening and Jared took the kids for a quick swim in the heated pool. We then bundled up and went to Disneyland just to watch the Christmas fireworks show, and hit a couple of rides. We had a great night sleep and went back for the next day. The kids were so great and we got to hit our favorite rides without too long of lines. We haven't been able to take much of a family vacation this year, but this was a perfect mini family vacation.
